Those tweetin' politicians...

For yet another reason as to why Twitter should be a part of your social arsenal, Yahoo! Tech blogger Ben Patterson posts about which members of congress use Twitter.

Interestingly enough, in a stat that may shatter my non-partisanship, he notes that twice as many Republicans than democrats use the microblogging/networking service.

Donkeys and elephants aside, I think it is admirable that are boys and girls on Capitol Hill are getting (and staying) plugged in. Some actually tweet themselves (Representative John Culberson from Texas is listed as one who does); when you think about it, handing off tweets to a press secretary or intern really defeats the purpose, doesn't it.

Which state has the most tweetin' reps? Patterson's blog tells me South Carolina. That would not have made my top 49 guesses.
