Shrinking world

Earlier this week, I confirmed a friend request on FaceBook that arrived in another language.

One small step for some; huge, giant leap for me.

In the past week, I have been blessed with an opportunity to:

* reconnect with former players across the world (literally; one is in Argentina currently)
* conference with friends via webcam in prayer for another friend
* compile information for my book
* make new (and strengthen existing) professional connections
* search and refine ministry concepts from experienced ministry individuals and entities
* communicate with fellow technology enthusiasts

... and more, using free tools accessible to all of us.

Social networking shrinks the world. Fellowshipping with folks online opens so many doors. You learn plenty about others, and yourself. TokBox, FaceBook, Twitter etc are as strong as you let them be (and that sword cuts both ways).

Which reminds me: time to get a new webcam.
